Guarantee and Returns

Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. hereby states to the purchaser that all parts are serviceable and functional. Electrical items are expressly excluded from coverage and should be inspected upon delivery and are accepted on a final sale basis only.

Merchandise not defective or incorrect for application (regardless of who is at fault) may be returned within thirty (30) days for exchange only. A merchandise credit less a 25% restocking charge will be issued. All claims for returns must be accompanied by a copy of the original sales invoice. The return policy shall be void if the merchandise is not returned in the same condition as sold, does not bear the identifying marks which appear on all Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. merchandise, is altered; modified; disassembled or damaged by misuse or accident subsequent to the purchase. No reimbursement will be given for delay, labor, mileage, towing or other costs in installing or reinstalling merchandise.

Defective merchandise appearing within (6) six months from the date of purchase; Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. shall at its discretion repair any defect or malfunction or provide either a replacement part or parts without charge to the purchaser. Any claims must be presented to Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. within (6) six months of the date of purchase. All claims for returns must be accompanied by a copy of the original sales invoice.

Buyer purchases and accepts all parts “as is” and, not being the manufacturer of the equipment, the manufacturer’s agent or the seller’s agent makes no warranty or representation, either express or implied, as to the part’s merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, design, condition, quality, capacity, material or workmanship. Seller shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages including, but not limited to, labor, installation, removal or abuse of this merchandise.

It is agreed that the sole determiner of condition for return is the seller. Buyer agrees to any inspection or method of inspection dictated by seller and agrees the seller has the right not to accept returned used merchandise if in the seller’s discretion, he believes the condition of used merchandise has changed from date of sale. The sole determiner of any and all returned policy adjustments shall be made by the officers of Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. Any refunds will be issued by check only.

All used merchandise must be inspected by buyer for defects or safety hazards, seller states that he in no way guarantees or warrants used merchandise for apparent or non-apparent safety hazards and affirmatively states that the used merchandise sold may have safety hazards and it is the responsibility of buyer to inspect for actual or latent safety hazards or hire an expert to so inspect.

If requested, exchange parts must be turned in at the time of purchase, or a core charge will be made. If requested, the core must be returned within thirty (30) days from the date of purchase and must be accompanied by a copy of the original sales invoice to receive refunds. All special order items qualifying for return may be returned for replacement only. Body sections or merchandise which has been cut off to specifications are not returnable.

Any warranties on the products sold herby are those made by the manufacturer. The seller herby expressly disclaims all warranties, either expressed or implied. Including any implied warrant of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and neither assume or authorizes any other person to assume for any liability in connection with the sale of said products.

A lifetime parts replacement is in effect for the following parts: Alternators, Starters, Power Steering Pumps, Power Steering Box/Gear, Drive Axles/CV Joints, A/C Compressors, Brake Calipers, and Front & Rear Windshield Wiper Motors. This warranty applies to online retail purchases only. To place a claim, the buyer must return the part with a copy of the original sales invoice. Upon arrival of the defective part to Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc., we will ship a replacement part free of charge. The part should be returned with the original identifying marks/numbers which appear on all Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. merchandise. The part shall not be altered, modified, disassembled or damaged by misuse, improper installation or accident.

Please contact Robertson’s Auto Salvage, Inc. obtain a return authorization number prior to returning the item.


Ship To Locations
Our default shipping rates are for the 48 US states only via UPS Ground. At an extra charge, Alaska, Hawaii, APO, FPO, Puerto Rico and all US Territories will be sent via USPS Priority Mail. At an extra charge, we will also ship items World Wide International via USPS International Priority mail. Depending on which country you are in, you may need to contact us for a shipping quote before or after purchase to complete the sale.

We usually ship within 1-2 business days of receiving cleared payment. Unless otherwise noted, Buyer pays shipping. Click here for an estimate of your shipping costs before you order:


Freight Items
We will not ship freight items and some larger or fragile parts outside of the 48 US states. For large items that must be shipped via Freight Truck (i.e. engines, transmissions), the delivery site must be a commercially zoned address capable of unloading a freight truck.

We can also arrange for you to pick up your freight item at your local freight terminal. For an accurate residential freight quote, please contact us before your purchase. If for some reason our shipping cost is greatly over this estimate, we reserve the right to ask for additional funds or an alternate ship to address.

Shipping Deadlines
We will process every order within 24 orders of checkout. Our business hours are from 8-5:30 M-F EST. Orders placed after 3:00 pm EST cannot be guaranteed shipping that day. All Non-Freight items will be sent via UPS ground unless given instruction otherwise. If you need 2nd day air or Next day air service please call us directly for best results. All freight items will go out the same day if the order is placed before 12:00 noon EST. This is providing that we have adequate payment, shipping instructions and phone numbers to process the shipment.

Payment Policies

We accept Pay Pal and credit card payments submitted through PayPal.

By law, we charge sales tax for items shipped to Massachussets. Tax applies to the subtotal plus any shipping and handling.


Core Charge. Core is an acronym for ‘Cash On Return’. A core charge is sometimes applied to rebuildable parts such as engines or alternators that can be redeemed for a portion of their original price. If the part you are purchasing has a core charge applied, it will be noted in the description.

Parts Grading. A standard code system is used to communicate the condition and quality of a part between automotive recyclers, automotive repair shops, and insurers. Knowing how these codes are used will help you understand whether the part meets your expectations before you buy it and what you can expect from the part when you receive it.

A Grade
- The highest quality part. It is of low miles and/or exceptional condition for its age.

B Grade
- The second level quality part. It is of average miles and normal condition for its age.

C Grade
- The third level quality part. It has high miles and/or light damage.

No Grade
- A part that has not yet been graded.
