We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced inventory control employee. This position will be responsible for the inventorying of salvage vehicles using a tablet system. The new hire will be working outside in the elements daily Monday thru Friday. This position involves a great deal of automotive knowledge, so the right candidate must have a high understanding of vehicle parts and auto body/sheet metal familiarity and judgment. In addition to basic computer skills, they will be working with a tablet.
Job Responsibilities:
- Entering parts into inventory via tablet
- Verifying correct vehicle identification number (VIN) and stock number assigned
- Taking photos of the exterior, interior, and VIN codes
- Powering the vehicle up to verify the correct mileage listed, and verify the drivetrain works properly
- Verifying exterior and interior color, location of any damage, trim codes, manual or automatic transmission, engine size, 2 door or 4 door, power or manual windows, etc.
- Determining correct interchange numbers for specific vehicle models
- Double-checking of data entered and photos in the inventory office using our software system
- Any other duties as may be assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- Must be willing to work Mon-Fri 8 AM-5 PM
- High knowledge of automotive parts and auto body/sheet metal
- Prior experience using Hollander or Powerlink is a plus
- Ability to work in an outside environment (cold in winter, hot in summer)
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, lift 50lbs, and stretch as required by a specific task
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
